    Do Explainer Videos Increase Conversions?

    By Danish Shahzad

If your product takes more than a sentence to explain, an explainer video might be the highest-leverage asset you can add to your site. But do they actually lift conversions? Here's the honest answer and how to do it right.

    Why explainers work

People understand and remember video far better than text, and they'd often rather watch 60 seconds than read three paragraphs. A clear explainer removes confusion — and confusion is one of the biggest silent conversion killers on any landing page.

    What a high-converting explainer includes

    • A hook that names the viewer's problem in the first few seconds.
    • A simple, jargon-free explanation of how you solve it.
    • A quick look at the product or result in action.
    • One clear call-to-action at the end.

    Keep it short and specific

The best explainers are 60–90 seconds. They explain one product to one audience with one goal. Trying to say everything is how explainers get long, vague, and ignored. Focus wins.
